If you need an additional 30-60 minutes beyond your selected package (but not the next full time slot), please reach out in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate based on availability. Additional charges may apply. We may also be able to arrange early access for decoration the evening prior to morning events, when schedule allows.

Whether you’re a photographer reserving the studio for a session or looking for a space to host a small gathering, Canvas Co. is where you can bring your ideas to life.

Note: Weekends are reserved in advance for event rentals. Remaining weekend availability is released on the first of each month for photography reservations.

Once you book, an email will be sent to you with information as to how you access Canvas Co. PLEASE read this email thoroughly, and make sure whoever is using the space (photographer or client) has read this information. This is IMPORTANT as it's possible access has changed since your last rental.

Bookings can only be made 60 days in advance. Please email canvas.co.sd@outlook.com if you need to book earlier than that.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • No open flames or smoking indoors.

    • Alcohol is allowed if you provide it (not sell it)

    • Please no glitter or confetti!

    • Pets are allowed if they are housetrained and well behaved. Please be sure they use the “outside restroom” before hand to avoid any messes :)

    • Leave the space as you found it - trash removed, furniture reset.

    • Do not mess with the heat or AC.

    • Turn off all lights and lock up when you leave.

    • Damage or overtime fees may apply if guidelines are not followed.

  • How do I book with Canvas Co.? Photography studio reservations and short-term studio use can be booked directly through our online calendar above. Event rentals require inquiry and confirmation based on availablity. Fill our our inquiry form above and reach out if you have any questions!

    How far in advance can I book? Bookings can be made as availability allows. Events are typically reserved further in advance, while photography availability may open monthly depending on schedule. If you want to book something in advance that isn’t available on the calendar yet, please reach out!

    Do you accept walk-ins or same-day bookings? No. All studio time must be reserved in advance.

  • Do you provide decor, or help with setup? No. Canvas Co. is a rental space only. Clients are responsible for all setup, decor, vendors, and light cleanup.

    Can I bring in my own vendors (photographers, decorators, catering etc.)? Yes! You are welcome to bring your own vendors as needed for your event.

    Can we get in a little early before our reservation starts? No. Your reservation time includes both setup and teardown, so access begins and ends exactly at your scheduled time. If you need an extra 30-60 minutes but not the next full package, let us know well in advance and we can typically bill for additional time if scheduling allows.

    Do you offer tables and chairs? At the moments, tables and chairs are not provided. We’re hoping to offer this as an additional option in the future as Canvas Co. continues to grow.

    Can we bring in food and drink? Alcohol? Yes! You’re welcome to bring in your own food or have it catered. We agree - food is an important part of any celebration. Alcohol is permitted in moderation; however, it may not be sold on-site.

    Can we hang things on the walls? Please do not damage the walls. If you have an idea in mind, let us know and we will do our best to see what’s possible.

    How many guests are allowed? The space is best suited for small gatherings and intimate events. Please inquire for specific guest limits based on your event type.

  • What is included in a photography reservation? Access to the studio during your booked time. The space is designed to be a clean, minimal backdrop for your creative work. Clients will also have access to the dressing room and vanity space.

    Can I bring in furniture or props? Yes! Feel free to bring in props to use during your session. Please be careful not to scratch or damage any walls or floors.

    Are pets allowed in the studio? Yes, pets are allowed if they are house trained and well behaived. Please be sure they use the “outdoor restroom” before coming into the studio to avoid any messes!
